Flight Lieutenant (Air Bomber), Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. No 78 Bomber Squadron Halifax II LW 293 EY-L Based at Breighton, Yorkshire. Shot down over Germany near Hoxtyer during a raid on Kassel 22 October 1943. Aged 34. The crew of 7 were all killed in the crash. Son of Sydney John & Sarah Jane Abbott of Wellingborough. Husband of Ivy Elsie Abbott of Shepherds Bush, London. Buried in Hanover War Cemetery, Germany

Sergeant 1035724, 61 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Lancaster 1 ED 359 QR-F Based at Syerston near Newark. Shot down during a raid on Lorient, 7 February 1943. Aged 29. The crew of 7 were all killed in the crash. Aged 29. Son of Arthur and Amy Jane Abraham, of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire; husband of Violet Elizabeth Kent Abraham, of Wellingborough.
