The
Yardley hastings village memorial takes the form of a tablet mounted
on front wall of the memorial Hall, Northampton Road, Yardley Hastings,
Northamptonshire. It is a brick built Memoriaql hall with the dedicatory
stone tablet intergrated within the front wall. It was unveiled October
1921 by William 6th. Marquis of Northampton. There are 30 names listed
whereas St Andrew's Church Memorial
has 31 names.

born Yardley Hastings 30th Aug, 1892; educated Public School there,
was a woodsman, employed by the Marquess of Northamptons Castle
Ashbys Estate; enlisted 3rd Dec. 1914; served with the Expeditionary
Force in France and Flanders from 30th May, and was killed in action
30th Aug, 1915, being one of the covering party at The Battle of
Loos. He was buried in the Cemetery at Vermelles |
