manager of the Phinson Estate near Ipoh. After a brief exchange
of conversation, a ploy by the terrorists, Mr. Alison and his young
assistant, Leonard Christian from Radlett in Hertfordshire were
overpowered. With their hands bound behind their backs, they were
murdered in cold blood. |

The first of the first three planters killed, murdered at Sungai
Siput on 16th June 1948. From Edinburgh. At approximately 0800 hours,
two communist terrorists (CT's) of the Malaya Communist Party (MCP)
arrived on a motorbike armed with sten guns. They fired through
the door and window of the bungalow killing Mr. Walker instantly.
His wife miraculously was unhurt. |

Shot and killed when his car was ambushed in the Tapah area 19 June
1950. Husband of Stella Wallace (formerly Gow) of Dundee. Son of
Mr & Mrs J W Wallace, of 15 Lammerton Terrace, Dundee; brother
of Adrianne. Educated at Dundee High School. Employed at one time
by Baxter Brothers & Co. Ltd., spinners and manufacturers, Dens
Works, Dundee. Previously captured during World War 2 by the Japanese
and held prisoner for 3½ years.
