The
battery is comprised of one 6 inch Mark VII gun that was installed
during the early 1900's. After World War 2 the gun was removed but
the emplacement, underground magazines and crew rooms remain. The
underground rooms currently house the Military Heritage Centre with
an exhibition of British weaponry and a memorial chamber to armed
services personnel who have served in Gibraltar. The battery is located
on the northern face and can be accessed via Willis's Road from the
town. There are no names listed on the memorial just the dedication.
