The Alvescot war memorial is to be found next to St peters Church of England Infants School on the A4020 in Alvescot, Oxfordshire. It takes the form of a simple stone wheel cross atop a stone pedestal with the names and inscriptions carved in to the pedestal. There are ten names for World War 1 and 2 for World War 2.

2nd Lieutenant, "B" Battery, 162nd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Died 23 April 1917. Aged 35. Son of Walter and Anne Isabel Neate, of The Monastery, Fladbury, Pershore, Worcs. Native of Alvescot, Oxon. Buried in Duisans British Cemetery, Etrun, Pas de Calais, France. Plot IV Row A. Grave 9.
CLEARE Henry Thornton
Mate, "HMS Black Prince", Royal Navy. Died when his ship was sunk by gunfire from German Battleships at the Battle of Jutland on Wednesday, 31 May 1916. No known grave. Commemorated on Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent. Panel 15.
FITCHETT Walter
Private 15664, 10th (Service) Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment. Killed in action 14 July 1916. Born Grafton, Oxon, enlisted Oxford. Formerly Private 14410, Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. No known grave. Commemorated on Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. Panel 5A and 5B.
FLUX Cecil Hebert
Private 9566, 1st Battalion, Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. Died in the Persian Gulf 25 March 1916. Born and resident Alvescot, Oxon, enlisted Witney. No known grave. Commemorated on Basra Memorial, Iraq. Panel 26 and 63.

Private 21943 1st Battalion, Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. Died of wounds 12 April 1916. Born Alvescot Oxon, enlisted Kingston-on-Thames Surrey, resident Alvescot Oxon. Formerly Private G/17898 Royal Fusiliers. Buried in Amara War Cemetery, Iraq. Plot VI. Row H. Grave 13.
