The
war memorial for Hednesford was unveiled in 1922. Pasing through the
entranced gates the memorial is at the end of a tree like avenue. The
names for World War 1 are on plates around the memorial and list most
men by surname and forename although in some cases it is just initials.
The World War 2 and Korean War memorial is in the form of a large stone
which has been used to the supplement the memorial. This contains the
surname and the initial; the Korean War details also contain rank. The
World War 2 names have had four names added at a later date these are
ROBERTS F., LOMAS F., LYONS S.A. and HODSON W.H.
