The Iken war memorial can be found within the parish church and takes the form of a bronze plaque within a stone frame. It contains the name of 10 men who gave their lives during World War 1.

Lance Corporal 18731, 7th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Died 03/07/1916. Age 20. Son of William S and Emily Whayman of Iken. Buried at Ovillers Military Cemetery

WILKINSON

Lionel

Believed to be Private 7857, "B" Company, 2nd Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. Died 30/11/1916. Age 28. Son of Mr and Mrs James Wilkinson of Malling Cottage, Bentley, Ipswich. Commemorated on the Basra Memorial. The Iken Memorial states "Lionel Wilkinson – Rifle Brigade" – The above is the only Lionel on the CWGC lists
