Botolphs is a small hamlet a mile south of the town of Steyning, Sussex. St Botolph Church does not have a war memorial. The churchyard contains one Commonwealth War Grave Commission gravestone for Gunner Benjamin Howard killed in World War 2

HOWARD Benjamin

Gunner. Service No 1425716. 154(Leicestershire Yeomanry) Field Regiment, Royal Artillery. The son of Richard and Emily Howard of Steyning, and the husband of Rose Howard of Steyning. He died 27th August 1942 aged 39, and is buried in St Botolph churchyard.
