CHALVINGTON WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 - Roll of Honour with detailed information
Compiled and copyright © Chris Comber 2007

Chalvington Parish Church of St.Bartholomew is a remote downland church near Ripe. Within the church is the memorial which takes the form of a framed list of the 20 men from the area who enlisted. Just one did not return and he listed as killed in action. There is only a 1914-1918 memorial. There do not appear to have been any losses during 1939-1945, but the iron gates to the churchyard bear the title 1939-19/45
