Chichester City War Memorial covers the years 1914-19 and 1939-45. The memorial is to be found in The Litten, St, Pancras Chichester. There are 351 Surnames and initials, grouped by regiment, (not all accurate) recorded below in alphabetical order. Those included on the local Church Memorials of St. Pancras, St. Bartholomews, Westgate, St. Georges Rumboldswhyke, Southgate Methodist Shippams and Graylingwell Hospital are mentioned, as are the men of the redundant Church of Portfield Memorial, which can now be found in St. Georges, Rumboldswhyke. Four stone tablets added recently bear the names (surnames and initials) of 255 men who were lost in WW2.
