Stonegate is a small hamlet to the South of Ticehurst and Wadhurst. The Stonegate War Memorial can be found on a brass plaque in the Church of St. Peter, with 15 names for World War 1. The listing is by sunames and initials with (some) ranks. There are also two burials in the Churchyard. There is a further plain rectanugular tablet commemorating those who fell in World War 2, there 7 names listed by surname, forename and Regiment.
