Tillington
is a hamlet to the west of Petworth, on the edge of Petworth Park. Wiothin
All Hallows Church are two brass tablets, by the pulpit, containing
the 29 names of the fallen for World War 1. The names are listed with
surname and one christian name. A further seven names are recorded on
a stone tablet in the High Street, below the church.

1911 census he was aged 25, born Barkby, Leicestershire, a Gardenerr
Foreman, servant living at Coombe Cottage Gardens, Coombe Lane,
Kingston-On-Thames, Coombe, Surrey. Buried in Port Said War Cemetery,
