The memorial takes the form of a stone Calvary cross mounted on a rounded shaft atop a plinth with a three-stepped base. The inscription and names are to be found around the faces of the plinth. The memorial stands on a bank by the road in Glaisdale, Scarborough, North Yorkshire. It was first unveiled 4 December 1920 by Major General Sir James K Trotter, FCB, CMG.
