The Lepton memorial takes the form of a Lamp of Remembrance within the parish church, Green Balk Lane, Lepton. The names of those who gave their lives in World Wars 1 and 2 are to be found on stone tablets on the south side of the church tower. There are 46 names of those who died in World War 1 and 9 names for World War 2. There is also a clock in the church tower dedicated to those who died in World War 1. The names here have been sorted into alphabetical order within conflict.

WAS ERECTED BY THE RESIDENTS
OF THE URBAN DISTRICT TO THE
MEMORY OF THE MEN OF LEPTON
WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR OF
1914 - 1919
THESE MEN OF OURS, UNSELFISH, UNAFRAID,
WENT TO THE WORLD WIDE FIGHT
FORGET NOT HOW THEY FOUGHT AND HOW WE
PRAYED
FOR ENGLAND AND FOR RIGHT.
"GREET THEM AGAIN WITH TENDER
WORDS AND GRAVE,
FOR, SAVING THEE, THEMSELVES THEY
COULD NOT SAVE."

HONOUR AND OF OUR GRATITUDE.

THE LAMP OF REMEMBRANCE WAS PLACED IN THIS CHURCH
IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF LEPTON WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN
THE 2 WORLD WARS AND WHOSE NAMES ARE INSCRIBED ON
THE STONE TABLETS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE
CHURCH TOWER - 9TH DECEMBER 1951
