The Ballachulish War Memorial is in the form of a plinth upon which stands a Scottish soldier. The memorial stands in its own fenced area. The memorial covers the men from Ballachulish Ferry and Laroch village, there is a separate memorial for Glencoe village. The names are listed by area, rank, forneame, surname and Regiment or service. THe memorial covers the First and Second World Wars and Palestine 1948.

According to the memorial he was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal (D.C.M.) but not listed on CWGC or SDGW or on his medal card. Baker by trade. Single.
