Note: Beaverdale was torpedoed and shelled by U-48 on April 2nd, 1941. Everyone on board made it into the ship's three lifeboats, but, during the night one of the lifeboats with 21 men aboard disappeared without a trace. (The date of death given is one day earlier but in all probability this was the same incident.)
