The
Memorial stands by the side of the road opposite the parish church.
It takes the form of a Crucifix on three base octagons (the figure is
stated to have been based on a carving in Worcester Cathedral). It records
the casualties in year of death, and give full names. It was dedicated
by Rev. E. P. Gatty and unveiled by Viscount Hampden, Lord Lieutenant
of Hertfordshire on 7 March 1920. There are 32 names listed, 18 for
World War 1 and 14 for World War 2.
