Sailor. S.S. Winamac (London), Merchant Navy. Died Monday 31 August 1942. Age 19. Son of Edward William and Lilian Ada Hussey, of Slip End, Bedfordshire. Commemorated on TOWER HILL MEMORIAL, London, United Kingdom. Panel 119.

Note: S.S. Winamac had just left Trinidad with a full load of fuel for the North African landings later in 1942 when she was picked off by a German U-Boat. There were only 21 survivors as the ship quickly became a ball of fire.
