BAKER Charles Tanqueray Captain, 5th Battalion (Territorial), Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action Sunday 15th August 1915. Aged 24 years. Commemorated in Azmak Cemetery, Suvla, Turkey. Special Memorial 31.
GURNEY Sydney Jesse Private 17976, 2nd Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action in Tuesday France 11th July 1916. Aged 26 years. Born and resident Tingrith, enlisted Bedford. Son of the late Jesse and Sarah Gurney, of "Lorenzo," Marsh Rd., Leagrave, Luton. Commemorated on Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. Pier and Face 2 C
GURNEY Henry [Harry] [Harry on SDGW & CWGC] Sergeant 19272, 4th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action in France Sunday 24th March 1918. Aged 37 years. Born and resident Tingrith, enlisted Bedford. Son of Mrs. Elizabeth Gurney, of Tingrith, Woburn, Bletchley, Bucks. Commemorated on Arras Memorial, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 5.
TANQUERAY Andrew Alexander Truman Temporary Captain, 9th Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps. Killed in action Friday 30th July 1915. Aged 25 years. Son of Andrew Hawkins Tanqueray and Alice Lucy Tanqueray, of Ivy House, Clophill, Ampthill, Bedfordshire. Commemorated on Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 51 and 53
TANQUERAY Frederic Baron 2nd Lieutenant, "B" Company,16th Battalion, Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment). Killed in action Saturday 1st July 1916. Aged 24 years. Son of Frederic Thomas and Catherine Tanqueray, of Woburn, Bedfordshire. Buried in Beaumont-Hamel British Cemetery, Somme, France. Grave B. 62.

GURNEY [Francis] George Private 5951376, 5th Battalion, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment. Died in Thailand on Friday 30th July 1943. Age 25. Prisoner of war. Son of Albert Edward and Elsie May Gurney, of Westoning, Bedfordshire. Buried in Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Thailand. Grave 6. A. 46.
