Sussex Yeomanry - probably Frank Trevor Brookes, Serjeant 320169 Royal Sussex Regiment who died on Wednesday, 23rd October 1918 with the British Expeditionary Force. Age 25. Enlisted Brighton. Son of David and Mabel Brookes, of The Cottage, Amberley, Bury Rd., Newmarket. Born at Ross, Herefordshire. Buried in DURRINGTON CEMETERY, Wiltshire. Grave 309.

Suffolk Reg - Lance Corporal 12343, 7^th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Died of wounds 4th October 1916. Aged 23. Son of Alfred and Elizabeth Parr, of New Cottage, Snailwell. Born Snailwell, enlisted Newmarket. Buried near East boundary in SNAILWELL (ST. PETER) CHURCHYARD, Cambridgeshire.

Suffolk Reg - Private 41107, 7^th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Killed in action 27thg March 1918. Aged 21. Son of Annie Eliza Tweed (formerly Randall), of Rectory Cottage, Snailwell, Newmarket. Formerly 2778, Suffolk Regiment. Commemorated on POZIERES MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Panel 25.

R.G.A. - Gunner 82920, 150th Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Killed in action on Thursday, 28th June 1917. Born and resident Snailwell, (spelt Snarwell SDWG) enlisted Newmarket. Buried in LOOS BRITISH CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France. Plot XIX. Row D. Grave 10.

IX Lancers - Corporal 41357, 2^nd Squadron, Machine Gun Corps (Cavalry). Killed in action 21st August 1918. Born Moulton, Suffolk, enlisted Newmarket, resident Snailwell. Formerly 6451, R.C.R. Commemorated on VIS-EN-ARTOIS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Panel 10.
