Son of George Henry and Elizabeth Brookes; husband of Christina Dick Brookes, of Stenhousemuir, Stirlingshire. In the 1921 census he was aged 7, born St. helen's, Lancashire, son of George Henry and Elizabeth Brookes, resident 48, Dilloway Street, St Helens, St Helen's, Lancashire. In The London Gazette 8 May 1931 he was a Male Sorting Clerk and Telegraphist, Alloa, appoinjted 24 April 1931. No known grave. Commemorated on CHATHAM NAVAL MEMORIAL, Kent. Panel 77, Column 1.
