Search Mercantile Marine Casualties World War 1

Little has been recorded on the men of the UK Mercantile Marine who were casualties in World War One. As a result of several requests for information Peter Smith has created this database containing the names of 10,325 men, casualties from the Mercantile Marine, and their ships, etc., between August 1914 and June 1917. The names are from Commonwealth War Graves site at Tower Hill, Naval Memorials and some local memorials. Where Naval personnel were serving on merchant ships, as gunners etc., then these have been included. This database is copyright © Peter Smith 2010.
