The
memorials is to be found in the grounds of St Mary’s Church, High
Street, Totnes. It takes the form of an octagonal cross of sacrifice,a
copy of a Blomfield cross, on octagonal plinth and octagonal two-stepped
base with a bronze sword of sacrifice on the front face, the whole being
made from Portland stone. There are 103 names listed for World War 1
and 38 for World War 2; the names have been sorted into alphabetical
order here for ease of reading and research. It was first unveiled 4
June 1921.
