The Rookhope memorial is situated at the roadside in Rookhope. It takes the form of a granite, stone, wheeled cross with a sword on south face. It was made by Aves of Hexh; unveiled in 1921 by Col. Gray of Stanhope and dedicated by Rev. H.G. Shaddick. There are 54 names for World War 1, 42 who served and returned and 12 that died, there are also three names for World War 2.
