Compiled & Copyright © Michael Tovery 2014
World War 2 Transcribed Martin Edwards 2020

The Stowell war memorial is within St Leonard's Church and lists the one man who made the ultimate sacrifice in World War 1 and those who served and returned. It takes the form of a brass plaque mounted on a wooden backboard with carved border; the inscription has been engraved into the brass. There is one name listed who gave his life and 19 names of those who served and returned. A second plaque takes the same form as the World War 1 memorial, it lists the one man who died and the eight who served and returned.
