SUTTON SCOTNEY WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 & 2 - Detailed Information
Compiled and copyright © John Elliott 2013

The Sutton Scotney memorial is in the form of a three sided closed lantern cross of stone, mounted on a stone column. The column stands on a six-sided stone base that bears the inscription and names of the fallen. It is located in Wonston Road, Sutton Scotney opposite to Victoria Village Hall.

Holy Trinity, Wonston is the parish church for Sutton Scotney and most of the men on this memorial, although not all, are also remembered on the memorial plaques in the church. The Wonston church memorial also commemorates other men of the parish who are not on the Sutton Scotney memorial.
