Located in St Peter's Church graveyard, Old Palace Road. Bekesbourne, the memorial has had a good clean up. The original builder was Mr Walter Cozens and the memorial was unveiled in October 1920 by Earl Beauchchamp K.C.M.G. The memorial itself is a very simple, plain, Celtic cross mounted onto a three-stepped base. There are 12 names listed for World War 1. Within St Peter's Church is a memorial for World War 2 that takes the form of a rectangular marble tablet with bevelled edges and incised Roman lettering with latin cross in the top, lefthand, corner. There are three nmes listed.

The Bekesbourne war memorial gives information that C.E CAGE served in the South Lancashire Regiment. The records show that he did in fact serve in The Buffs. Another local man – G.E CAGE did in fact serve in the South Lancashire Regiment. It is possible that the stone mason confused the two.
