HIGH
HALDEN WAR MEMORIAL
World
War 1 & 2 - Roll of Honour with detailed information
Compiled and copyright © David Hughes and Neil Clark 2006
The
parish tribute is in the form of a celtic cross located in the High
Halden Churchyard. It contains the names of 9 men most of whom died
in 1917 (3rd Battle of Ypres and Battles of Arras and Cambrai). Some
of the lead lettering is missing and the rest could benefit from being
painted black. In march 2005 the memorial became Grade II listed.
