EDMONTON Albert William
The inscription on the plaque is incorrect. Albert William Edmonston was a Driver (#100593) with the Royal Army Service Corp. He had been a resident of 98a Camden Rd., Tunbridge Wells. He died at age 33 July 3, 1940 and is recorded at the Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Cemetery (G 138). He was the son of George and Susan Edmonston and the husband of Ada Emily Edmonston of Tunbridge Wells. Albert was born 1907 at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk but resided in Kent.
EDWARDS Harold William
Harold was a Private with the Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, 4th Battalion. He had been a resident of 4 Wood St., Tunbridge Wells. He died at the age of 20 May 27, 1940. He is recorded at the Le Grand Hasard Military Cemetery, Morbecque (6. A. 11). He is also recorded on the plaque at St James Church, Tunbridge Wells.
