RICHARDSON Henry George
Henry was a Warrant Officer (Air Group) (#1377980) with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 280th Squadron. He had been a resident of 7 Stanley rd., Tunbridge Wells. He was buried in the Tunbridge Wells Cemetery November 20, 1943 (Cons. sec 19C). He was the son of Edward (1868-1947) and Alice Richardson (nee Culver 1873-1948) of Tunbridge Wells. He was born in Kent 1910 and had six siblings and one half sibling. In 1911 he was living at 58 Woodside Drive, Tunbridge Wells. He was the husband of Flora Lilian Mills (1911-2005) who he married October 1936.
ROBERTSON George
George was a Lance Corporal (#T/10511204) with the Royal Army Service Corps. He was a resident of 111 Upper Grosvenor Rd., Tunbridge Wells. He died at age 26 December 11, 1941. He is recorded at the Singapore Memorial (Column 99). He was the son of Dr. Graham Robertson and the husband of Ivy Agnes Robertson of Hastings, Sussex.
ROCHE Sidney William
Sidney was as Sergeant (#6134726) with the East Surrey Regiment, 2nd Battalion, who at the age of 39 died in Singapore December 15, 1941. He is recorded at the Singapore Memorial (Column 67). He was the son of Alfred Reginald (1875-1951) and Georgina Roche and the husband of Kathleen Roche of Tunbridge Wells. He had been a resident of 3 Norfolk Rd., Tunbridge Wells. He was born in Tunbridge Wells in 1902.
ROSS THOMSON Hugh Alexander
ugh was a Flight Sergeant (#1330740) with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 102 Squadron who at the age of 21 died in the Netherlands February 2, 1943. He is recorded at the Eindhoven (Woensel) General Cemetery (Plot JJB. Grave 13). He was the son of Alexander Ross Thomson and Maud Scott Thomson of Tunbridge Wells. He had been a resident of "Havering at Sandown Park, Tunbridge Wells.
RUDDER Arthur Wilfred
He had been a L/Sergeant (#7587315) with the Royal Army Ordnance Corps. He had been a resident of 43 Silverdale Rd., Tunbridge Wells. His name is on a plaque at St Luke’s Church, Tunbridge Wells. He died at age 28 December 24, 1941. He is recorded at the Saiwan Memorial, Hong Kong (Column 22).
RYDER Michael George
He was a Fourth Engineer Officer with the Merchant Navy. He had been a resident of 21 Molyneux Park, Tunbridge Wells. He died at age 26 August 3, 1942. He is recorded on the Tower Hill Memorial (Panel 65). He was in Unit 4 S. S. Lochkatrine (London). He was the son of Percy George and Madeline Mary Ryder of Bidborough, Kent.
