TASKER Vera Dorothy
Vera is the only woman listed on the memorial. She was a (#W/168824) with the Auxiliary Territorial Service. She was a resident of 57 Kirkdale Rd., Tunbridge Wells. She died at age 25 August 14, 1945. She is recorded at the Hanover War Cemetery in Germany (14. F. 13).
TAWSE William Johnston
William was a Chief Motor Mechanic 4th Class CMX (#116263) with the Royal Navy, H. M. S. PEMBROOKE II. He was a resident of Peats Cottages, Warwick Park, Tunbridge Wells. He was buried in the Tunbridge Wells Cemetery May 9, 1945 (Cons Sec 17C, grave 692). He died at age 28 May 4, 1945. He was the son of William Walter and Helen Johnston Tawse of Tunbridge Wells.
THOMPSETT Arthur Charles
He was a Private (Driver) (#T/6342018) with the Royal Army Service Corps, 89 Corp Transport. He was a resident of 16 Norman Rd., Tunbridge Wells. He died at age 36 June 21, 1944. He is recorded at the Bageux Memorial, France (Panel 18, column 3). He was the son of Mrs and Mrs Charles Francis Thompsett and husband of Beatrice Caroline Thompsett of Whitson, Monmouthshire.
TOMPKINS Wilfred Henry
Wilfred was a Trooper (#7888950) with the Royal Artillery Corps, 7th Royal Tank Regiment. He was a resident of 38 Dorking Rd., Tunbridge Wells. He was buried in the Tunbridge Wells Cemetery (Plot 1, grave 1). He died at age 20 May 27, 1940. He was the son of Harry and Emily Maud Tompkins of Tunbridge Wells.
TUFF Eric Christopher
Eric was a Stoker 2nd Class (#C/KX 147754) with the Royal Navy H. M. S. WALNEY who at age 18 died July 24, 1944. He is recorded at the Chatham Naval Memorial (63. 1). He was the son of Ernest Christopher and Mary Tuff of Tunbridge Wells. He was a resident of 305 Upper Grosvenor Rd., Tunbridge Wells.
TURNER John James
He was a Gunner (#894079) with the Royal Artillery. His unit was the 97 (The Kent Yeomanry) Field Regiment. He was as resident of 29 Meadow Rd., Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells. He died at age 22 June 29, 1942. He is recorded at the Alamein Memorial, Egypt (Column 40). He was the son of Henry T. Turner and Emma M. Turner of Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells.
