BURY,
ST PAULS WAR MEMORIAL
World War 1 - Detailed
information
Compiled and copyright © Dorothy Hargreaves 2010
The
memorial is to be found in St. Paul's Church, Bury. It takes the form
of a bronze plaque.
In November 2001 the church was in the care of the advisory board for
redundant churches; in 2004 the property was damaged by fire and access
was not possible as the roof collapsed; the memorial remained inside
but the amount of damage until 2007 was not known. Eventually a decision
was made that the memorials were to be re-sited in St Pauls School.
