The
Chatburn memorial can be found in the grounds of Christ Church, Sawley
Road, Chatburn, Ribble Valley, Lancashire. It takes the form of a plain
celtic cross on an four-sided, inscribed, tapered block mounted on a
two stepped base. The memorial was dedicated by Dr. Whelan, Bishop Suffragan
of Burnley, and unveiled by Dr. Pinchin, 12 November 1920. There are
twenty two names for World War 1 and sixteen for World War 2. The lettering
was rerworked in 1989.
