Died as a Japanese Prisoner of War in Tailand, 4D Camp, 1st August 1943, captured 17th February 1942. Aged 28. Born 16th December 1914, in Manchester. Resident 39, Gordon Road, Essles, Manchester. Eccles, Manchester. Son of Harry and Rose Edington, of Monton, Eccles, Lancashire. B.A. Japanese records show him as a School Teacher. Details sent to Harry Edington, of 7 hathorne Avenue, Eccles, Manchester. In the 1939 Register he was a School teacher, resident with his parents, Harry and Rose, at 7 Hawthorn Avenue, Eccles M.B., Lancashire. Buried in KANCHANABURI WAR CEMETERY, Thailand. Plot 2. Row H. Grave 28.
