The
memorial stands in the grounds of St Marie of the Annunciation Catholic
Church, Wigan Road, Standish, and takes the form of a Celtic Cross with
Crucifixion figure and laurel wreath. There are 13 names listed for
World War 1 and 11 for World War 2. Around 2004 the Cross was moved
from outside the presbytery to a position West of the church grounds.
