The Claypole memorials can be found within the church of St Peter, Main Street, Claypole. The World War 1 memorial is a wall mounted tablet with an arched upper edge within which is an engraved Latin cross. The inscription is on a sunken panel. The tablet is mounted on a piece of slate. It contains 5 names. The World War 2 tablet takes exactly the same form and contains 7 names.

COLLIN	Charles	Private 27176. 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 14th August 1917. Enlisted Newark, Notts and resident Claypole, Lincs. Commemorated POELCAPELLE BRITISH CEMETERY. LIX.D.1.
IREMONGER	Charles	Private 52161. 6th Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment, formerly 51138 Lincolnshire Regiment. Died of wounds 1st November 1918, aged 20 years. Son of C.W and M.J Iremonger of Scamblesby, Lincs. Enlisted Grantham, Lincs and resident Newark, Notts. Commemorated TERLINCTHUN BRITISH CEMETERY, Wimille. VI.F.21.
OGDEN	George James	Private 43198. 2/6th Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment. Died 27th September 1918, aged 22 years. Son of William and Emily Ogden of Main Street, Claypole, Lincs. Born Claypole, Lincs, enlisted Newark, Notts and resident Claypole, Lincs. Commemorated MONS COMMUNAL CEMETERY. VI.B.2.
ROSS	Cecil	Private 9549. 1st Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 24th August 1914, aged 23 years. Son of John Dexter and Emma Ross of Claypole, Lincs. Born Grantham, Lincs, enlisted Newark, Notts and resident Claypole, Lincs. Commemorated LA FERTE-SOUS-JOUARRE MEMORIAL.
SWALLOW	Rowland	Private 128544. Machine Gun Corps (Infantry), formerly 4000 Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). Killed in action 23rd August 1918, aged 19 years. Son of Richard William and Emma Swallow of Claypole, Lincs. Enlisted Newark, Notts. Commemorated LEBUCQUIRE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION. II.C.20.

HOLMES	Clifford Vincent	Engine Room Artificer 3rd Class D/MX55548. HMS Itchen, Royal Navy. Died 23rd September 1943, aged 25 years. Son of George Edward and Kate Holmes of Claypole, Lincs. Commemorated PLYMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL. Panel 81. Col 2.
HULL	Alfred John	Corporal 358791. 224 Squadron, Royal Air Force. Died 15th June 1940, aged 34 years. Son of Charles Percy and Mary Hull. Husband of Muriel Hull of Claypole, Lincs. Commemorated SOLA CHURCHYARD. British Plot. A.5.
MEDHURST	Aubrey Ronald	Craftsman 1788394. Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Died 15th March 1943, aged 33 years. Son of Walter and Gertrude Medhurst. Husband of Elsie Florence Medhurst of Grantham, Lincs. Commemorated CHISLEHURST CEMETERY. Sec A. Grave 1206.
NOBLE	Ralph	Possibly Gunner 909589. 60 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery. Died 21st June 1941, aged 22 years. Son of Frank and Catherine Noble of Mexborough, Yorks. Commemorated DAMASCUS COMMONWEALTH WAR CEMETERY. N.21.
NOBLE	William	Unable to identify CWGC and no further information currently.
SCARF	Arthur Stewart King	Victoria Cross. Squadron Leader 37693. 62 Squadron, Royal Air Force. Died 9th December 1941, aged 29 years. Son of Arthur Samuel King and Florence Mary King Scarf. Husband of Elizabeth Norah Mary King Scarf (nee Lunn) of Olton, Warwicks. Commemorated TAIPING WAR CEMETERY. 2.G.14.
