Sacred
to the memory of our dear and only son Charles Guy Clarke who was
killed on the transport ‘Mercian’ by a shell from an enemy submarine
in the Mediterranean on 3rd November, buried at sea 4th November
1915 near Oran, Algeria. Aged 19 years.
