The Foston war memorial is locatd within the church of St. Peter, Foston and is in the form of a wall mounted, marble plaque with an additional plaque fitted below for World War 1. In addition there is a Roll of Honour listing those who served and a Book of Remembrance.

No trace William Muxlow, name recorded as William Gamble (otherwise Muxlow) in Book of Remembrance. William Gamble. Private 36. 1st Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers. Killed in action 30th March 1915, aged 35 years. Son of (the late) Joseph and Jane Gamble. Born Grimsby, Lincs and enlisted Huntingdon, Hunts. Commemorated Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. Panel 8 and 12.

Private 12272. 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died of wounds Gallipoli 9th August 1915. Born Woolsthorpe, enlisted Grantham and resident Foston, Lincs. Commemorated Helles Memorial. Panel 44 to 46.

Company Sergeant Major 12/838. 12th Battalion, York and Lancaster Regiment. Died of wounds at home 9th July 1916, aged 34 years. Born Skegness, Lincs and enlisted Sheffield, Yorks. Commemorated Skegness (St Clement) Churchyard.
