ROTHWELL WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 - Roll of Honour with detailed information
Compiled and Copyright © Bill Ball 2010

The village war memorial for Rothwell is to be found within the churchyard of St. Mary's Church, Rothwell. A stone cross about 10 feet tall stands in the churchyard. On one side of its square base is a plaque listing six soldiers killed in World War 1, with their ranks and dates of death. The inscription at the head of the cross is now unreadable. There may be further memorials inside the church.
