The
BOer War mmeorial takes the form of a drinking pump with a dedicatory
inscription on the front panel to one man who died from his wounds in
1906. The mmeorial was unveiled 17th October 1907. The designers and
manufacturesr were Messrs. A J Tuttle.

TROOPER IMPERIAL LIGHT HORSE, WHO WAS SEVERLEY WOUNDED AT
THE
BATTLE OF COLENSO, SOUTH AFRICA, DECEMBER 15TH, 1899, AND
IN CONSEQUENCE THEREOF DIED AT SALTFLEET, MAY 20TH 1906
AGED 32 YEARS.
BRAVE IN ACTION. PATIENT IN SUFFERING.
ERECTED BY HIS MANY FRIENDS.
