War 1 - Roll of Honour with detailed information

Within
St Lawrence Parish Church, Church Lane, Tallington can be found a
memorial to those who died in World War 1 and a Roll of Honour to
those who served in the same conflict. The war memorial takes the
form of bronze plaque and contains 6 names. The Roll of Honour is
in the form of is wall mounted framed and glazed. The names are handwritten
in two columns within an illustrated border of leaves and flowers.
The words 'Roll of Honour' are curved across the top of the memorial
and beneath this is an illustration of a laurel wreath within which
is a Union flag and the remainder of the dedication is written within
a banner. There are 33 names listed, 31 served and returned, 2 died
according to the Roll. Those on the Roll of Honour who appear on the
memorial are marked with a .
