Gallant
Sawston Man.
A
bar to his D.F.M. has been awarded to Sergeant Ernest Gimson
of 107 Squadron RAF. Sert. Gimson was born at Sawston, but
his home is at Babakin Western Australia. Before joining
the RAF he was a shop keeper's assistant. He was awarded
his DFM in February of this year in Air Operations.

Flying Officer F. Vindis, has been awarded the DFC for conspicuous

Gallantry
in S.E.A.C.
Signalman
Harry Samuel of the Indian Divisional Signals has been awarded
the Certificate of Gallantry in South East Asia. Lieutenant
General F. W. Messervy CB DSO is sending off to 4th Corps
congratulations to Signalman Samuel on his gallantry and
says: "I am more than proud of what you have done, by your
courage and determination to gain such success for the 4th
Corps. and blot out the Japs. All good luck to you in the
future." |
