Roll
of Honour
(name order as Roll) |
THE
GREAT WAR
AUGUST 4. 1914. – NOVEMBER 11. 1918.
Those whose names are inscribed below went
forth from the Parishes of
Ashmanhaugh and Beeston S Lawrence,
leaving homes, and dear ones, and safety, and
happiness, and braving danger, distress and death;
for the sake of righteousness and fatherland and
peace, in the mercy of God they returned, but
some with loss of health and strength through
much privation.
In gratitude for their offering and its cost, friends
and neighbours place this record in
THE HOUSE OF GOD. |
