Private 31065. 34th Battalion Royal Fusiliers. Transf. to (60066) 101st Coy. Labour Corps. Died of wounds in France & Flanders on 14th May 1918. Aged 33. Born Buxton. Enlisted Norwich. Son of Philip and Martha Barton, of Buxton, Norwich. Buried: St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen. Ref. P. XI. K. 14A.
BETTS Cyril
Private 302147, 1st/8th Battalion, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. Killed in action 9th April 1914 in France & Flanders. Age 19. Born Silvertown, London, enlisted Norwich. Son of Alice Betts. Buried: Roclincourt Valley Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. Grave I. B. 8.

Corporal 40487. 7th Battalion Norfolk Regiment (Memorial gives 1st/5th Norfolks). Killed in action in France & Flanders on 28th April 1917. Born Norwich. Enlisted Immingham, Lincolnshire. His family lived in Cleethorpesa although he was born and bred in Norfolk. Commemorated: Arras Memorial, Pas de Calais, France. Ref. Bay 3.
