There are a number of War Memorials in Castle Rising.

Two lanterns stand in the High Street, which have the following inscriptions on brass plaques:

ERECTED BY THE PEOPLE OF CASTLE RISING
AS A MEMORIAL OF THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918.

ERECTED BY THE PEOPLE OF CASTLE RISING
AS A MEMORIAL OF THE 2ND WORLD WAR 1939-1945.

There is a Roll of honour on the wall of St Lawrence's Church facing the entrance. The memorial gives full name and Regiment:

1914- 1918

CHILVERS Arthur Reginald          
Private 29140, East Surrey Regiment, posted to 1st/23rd Battalion, London Regiment. Died 9 May 1918. Aged 19. Born 2 April 1899 in Middleton, Norfolk, resident King's Lynn, Norfolk, enlisted Grove Park, Kent. Baptised 7 May 1899 in Middleton, Norfolk. Son of George and Sarah Chilvers, of Castle Rising Lodge, South Wootton, King's Lynn, Norfolk. No known grave. Copmmemorated on Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France. Panel 44 and 45.
COOPER     Josiah 
Private 15393, 9th Battalion, York and Lancaster Regiment. Killed in action in France & Flanders on 13th March 1916. Aged 31. Born Grimston. Enlisted Mexborough. Son of Josiah and Jemima Louisa Cooper, of Grimston, Norfolk. Buried: Rue-David Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, Pas de Calais, France. Plot I. Row D. Grave 29.
MARSTERS Eric James
Private 2442, 1/5th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. Missing believed killed in action at Sulva, Gallipoli, 28th August 1915. Enlisted East Dereham. No known grave. Commemorated on Helles Memorial, Turkey. Panel 42 to 44.
TWAITE  George    
Private G/19051. 6th Battalion The Buffs (East Kent Regiment). Formerly G/24558. 28th Battalion Middlesex Regiment. Killed in action in France & Flanders on 3rd May 1917. Born North Wooton, Norfolk. Lived and enlisted King’s Lynn. Commemorated: Arras Memorial, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 2
1939 – 1945
WARD Albert Douglas               
Gunner 1461397. 65 (The Norfolk Yeomanry) Anti-Tank Regiment, Royal Artillery. Died on 24th January 1942. Aged 21. Son of George William and Kate Ward, of North Wootton, Norfolk. Commemorated: Alamein Memorial, Egypt. Column 41.
BOCKING    Hubert Arthur
Private 5771337, 4th Battalion, Royal Norfolk Regiment. Died on 21st September 1944. Aged 29. Son of William Rainer Bocking and Agnes Bocking; husband of Olive Joan Bocking (nee Pointer), of King's Lynn, Norfolk. Commemorated: Singapore Memorial. Column 49.

Two brass plaques on the Church wall:

2ND LIEUTENANT 2ND BATTALION KINGS ROYAL RIFLES.

DIED AT CALCUTTA JULY 21 1899

Deeply loved and mourned by all who knew him
He shall inherit joy and a crown of gladness.
