From the A149, towards the direction of North Walsham, you will see
the church on your left just before you enter the village. This can
be access by turning left onto the small by-road and the memorial can
be found in the church grounds.

5618, 6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry who was ‘Killed in Action’
on 05/11/1916 at the age of 30. Sidney was born and resided in Smallburgh
and enlisted in Norwich. He was the son of William and Harriet Brooks,
of Low St., Smallburgh and is now laid to rest in Grave VII. D.
42 in WARLENCOURT BRITISH CEMETERY in France. |

Driver,
T4/044969, Army Service Corps who ‘Died’ from Wounds’ received on
active service on 11/10/1918. He was discharged through ill health
on 19/02/18 and did not recover from his wounds. Arthur is now laid
to rest in the Screen Wall in LEEDS (LAWNS WOOD) CEMETERY. |

Corporal, 14320, 1st Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment who was
‘Killed in Action’ on 12/10/1916. Herbert was born in Smallburgh
and enlisted in Coventry. He has no known grave and is now commemorated
on Pier and Face 9 A 9 B and 10 B THIEPVAL MEMORIAL in France. |

was ‘Killed in Action’ on 16/08/1917 at the age of 34. Walter was
born in Smallburgh, resided in Ramsgate, and enlisted in Kent. He
was the son of Thomas and Mary Fiske, of Gunn's Corner, Smallburgh
and the husband of May Janetta Fiske, of Victoria Cottage, Vale
Square, Ramsgate. He has no known grave and is now commemorated
on Panel 138 to 140 and 162 to 162A and 163A on the TYNE COT MEMORIAL
in Belgium. |

on Panel 144 to 150 or 229 to 233 HELLES MEMORIAL in Turkey. |
