ALTHORP ESTATE WAR MEMORIAL
World War 1 & 2 - Roll of Honour with detailed information
Compiled and Copyright © 2022 Martin Edwards
Within
the grounds of Althorp estate are three memorials to four men from the
estate that gave their lives in World War 1. These memorials are inset
into a wall at the side of the house behind rhododendrons. They are
not very apparent. Some records list the avenue of trees leading from
the road to the house, and the memorial half way along, as the war memorial
when in fact it is a memorial to Lady Diana Spencer.
