The
memorial in the form of a cross is located next to Churchyard path from
High Street, St. Andrew's Churchyard, Back Lane, Collyweston. It has
a single-stepped octagonal base surmounted by a square sectioned plinth,
a tall rectangular sectioned shaft and a small ornate cross with trefoil
shape at each arm joint and has Incised inscriptions on all four sides
of the plinth. It was unveiled 24 June 1920 by the Marquis of Exeter
of Burghley House. THere are 12 names for World War 1 and 8 form World
War 2. Within the church are two handwritten Rolls of HoiOnour for each
conflict; those who served and returned have not been transcribed.
