World
War 1 & 2 - Detailed information

The
Rockingham war memorial is to be found with St Leonard's church, Rockingham.
It takes the form of a wooden board with a brass plaque affixed, the
central feature is the Crucifixion and the border is decorated with
leaves and flowers. There are 8 names for World War 1 and 1 for World
War 2. In the vestry is a further plaque inscribed with the names of
men (presumably) from Rockingham who served in the armed services during
the First World War. The figures after each name are presumed to be
the year of enlistment of the individual concerned.
