In the 1901 census he was known as Willie, aged 9, born Wellingborough, son of Charles and Maria Knighton, resident 1, Furnace Street, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. In the 1911 census he was aged 19, born Wellingborough, a Boot Hugger, son of Charles and Maria Knighton, resident 4, Furnace Street, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Buried in WELLINGBOROUGH (DODDINGTON ROAD) CEMETERY, Northamptonshire. Plot/Row/Section/Area H. Grave 241.
